Mixing Fabrics and Patterns! This Fall, there are no rules.

I love mixing a tougher fabric ( J. Crew dark washed boxy jean jacket) with a light silk draped top (a la my burnt orange draped cow-neck top c/o the great Michael Kors).

The Day After.........

The Day After....

You can still look polished and pulled together after Thanksgiving when you feel you need to wear those high-waisted elastic sweat pants.  By wearing a fluttery and e xpandable dress, no one will be able to tell that you gained those 5 pounds from eating a whole pie in one sitting (shh!!).

My Thanksgiving Splurge! Gotta Look Good While Stuffing My Face- might as well right?!?

Gorgeous & Fashionable!

Ciao Dolls!

I wanted to display my outfit for Thanksgiving as well!  I've been playing with different styles recently and the trend that has always been close to my heart is a cross of Boho chick and downtown girl.  I always go for classic gold hues and brown leather bags--they are my weaknesses!  Hope these ideas inspire you and encourage you to still dress up even though it's just for a turkey or tofurkey! Enjoy.

Time to pull and outfit together, go out, and have a fine glass of wine with one of my besties.

Cheers!
CJ

Have a happy Thanksgiving from Butters & Dash*

It's okay to unbutton that top button after tomorrow.

Leopard is one of the hottest trends for fall. Everyone from Hilary Duff to Rachel Bilson to Keri Hilson is wearing leopard print items on pretty much everything ... dresses, shoes, pants, bags, and beyond.

It's not the first time this trend has reared its head but this season leopard print is roaring its way back into vogue with a vengeance. Here are the celebs unleashing their wild side with a touch of animal magic...

I am loving MK Olsen with her colored leopard printed scarf! The trendy twin showcased her colourful Louis Vuitton stove that's since been on every fashionistas wish list (especially mine!!)

Fashion Tips To LIVE By

What to buy. What to skip. What to watch out for. And the way to pull any look together with panache. Find out how to dress now--and 10 years from now.

1. Round Up a Posse of White Cotton Button-Downs
They elevate jeans and keep ball skirts from drifting into fantasy-land. But all that mileage comes at a cost: a short shelf life. So buy three, don't over-bleach (which can cause yellowing), and refresh regularly.

2. Accessorize in Brights
If you've got a closet full of neutrals—be they navy, black, camel, or gray—add energy with boldly hued shoes and bags. Not only is a hunter green satchel more lively than ho-hum black, but it's also surprisingly versatile. Feeling really brave? Wear a neutral base with shoes and a bag in two different complementary colors.

A Pop of Color...

Adding of POP of color to any outfit will enhance your look.  I love pairing neutral tones with a bright bold color.  Have fun and be a kid again- go a little wild and be a little bit daring!  Wear those bright Crayola red shoes with your LBD for dinner! You only live once!

Kim K. is wearing a neutral toned ensemble but adds a kick of color with her bright yellow Hermes bag.  Her simplistic look is quickly transformed into more edgy and stylish.

I suggest do a bold bag or shoe- not both! It may look too tacky (i.e. Bethenny Frankel).
