Faux Leather? Yes, please!

A fashion trend that I really truly LOVE = The leather dress.

The LBD has gone to the dark side!  This new trend has been popping up left and right in the fashion industry.  This once tacky look has now become so sleek and sophisticated and the dress literally oozes sex appeal.  (And a bonus!) Wearing leather during the day is no longer only for the bad ass or sex kitten (i.e. Angelina Jolie), it's for any girl next door looking to revamp their wardrobe and add a classy-fresh piece.

As for styling, I absolutely love the dress with no embellishments at all- it's such a bold statement all on its own.  If you're feeling a little adventurous, add a pop of color with a shoe or a bag.  I think going simple is the way to go.  You don't want to look like you're dressing for Halloween. For the hair, I tend to favor the soft flowing sleek hair or the pulled back in a nice pony-tail look.

These celebs have my vote for BEST DRESSED in the sexy leather dress.

If you're not interested in going too sex-kitten, I would choose a brown/beige hued leather that has more of a softer look rather than the tight (think Cat woman) leather look and feel.

I really am in love with purple and champagne leather hues as well.  It gives the look a more girlie charm and definitely still has that edgy LBD vibe.

And of course, we cannot forget the traditional  full-fledged leather LBD.  This is a classic leather black dress that every woman should add to her wardrobe.  It's sophisticated and chic and never will be out of style!

Cecil Beaton said an amazing quote that every woman (and man!) should apply to living each and every day. . . (it doesn't have to pertain to fashion!!!)

FYI: Cecil Beaton was was an English fashion and portrait photographer, diarist, painter, interior designer and an Academy Award-winning stage and costume designer for films and the theatre. He was named to the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame in 1970.  (c/o wiki)
